B. M. WALTERS AND R. L. DAVIESThe marriage took place on Saturday 10th August between Benedict, son of Nicholas and Emma Walters, and Rachel, daughter of Christopher and Carol Davies. A further exchange of vows and celebration will take place in Italy on 7th September. Alexander Walters is best man and Charlotte Davies is maid of honour.

BARKER Ruth Melvena Sibley, aged 88, died suddenly at home on 6th August 2024. Adored by her family and friends, and an inspiration to all who met her. Funeral service on Tuesday 3rd September at 2pm at St Mary the Virgin Church, Wotton-under-Edge GL12 7LS. Family flowers only. Donations made payable to North Nibley PCC may be made on the day. BOISSIER Elizabeth Bridget Rhoda died peacefully on 18th August, aged 87. Beloved wife of the late Roger and a much loved mother, grandmother and sister. A service of thanksgiving will be held at St Nicholas Church, Lazonby, Cumbria, on Wednesday 28th August at 1pm.
CAMPBELL Peter Macleod. Helicopter pilot and aviation consultant, died unexpectedly on 10th August 2024 in the Royal Hampshire County Hospital Winchester, aged 80. Adored husband of Katharine, who was with him to the last, beloved father to Sam and Chloë and devoted grandfather to Luca and Aryo. CONNELL Charmian Victoria died peacefully on 14th August 2024, aged 76. A much loved mother, sister, grandmother, mother-in-law and friend.
HAMPSON Clive on 7th August 2024. Chemical engineer and state scholar, much loved husband of Gwyneth (née Salusbury), brother of Irene Luzmore and uncle of David Hampson. Private funeral and burial at St Uny Church, Lelant, St Ives, Cornwall. No flowers, donations to Stroke Association.
LEACH Helen (née Ivens) died on 7th August 2024, aged 96. Beloved wife of the late James Leach, deeply loved by family and friends. Funeral service will be held at St John’s Church, Stiffkey, on Friday 6th September at 12.30pm. Eternal rest grant to her O Lord and let perpetual Light shine on her.
MORKILL Thomas William on 8th August 2024, aged 85. Beloved husband of Jean, loving brother to Sarah and David, much loved father of Susan, Jen, Kate and Clare, stepfather of Jenny, Anna and Helen, 12 grandchildren and a great-grandson.
